Of African origin, this pentatonic floor xylophone has a mellow sound, the resonance of which will alter slightly depending on whether you play them next to each other or spread them out. They can be played on a table if you prefer, but to get the best sound out of them, play with a carpet or mat underneath them rather than a wooden surface.
