Two metal shells welded together to form a hinge so their “mouths” are slightly open, and filled with metal balls. When you squeeze the two halves of the shell together and shake or swirl the beads at the same time, you get a variety of pitch responses. Supplied as a pair, one high-pitch, one low-pitch.
