Class Assemblies is a series designed to take the stress out of whole-class assemblies for years 1, 2 & 3.

• The Mirror of Truth – focus on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and exercise

24581 Class Assemblies 3 for Y3:

• Going for Goals – focus on recognising personal worries, identifying strategies and setting goals to overcome them. There is a strong message about children supporting their peers who are trying to meet goals
• Robin Hood- focus on justice
• Operation Bully – focus on how students can stand up t bullies and make bullying less likely to recus. It shows how bullying can be done in several ways, some of which are hard to spot
• Year of the Rat – focus on the qualities required to be a good leader and touches on democratic decision-making

Each book contains four assemblies suitable for that year group, and each assembly is based on a story which links to literacy units as well as cross-curricular themes. The stories are semi-scripted allowing the class to join in with lines, actions & choral speech.

The teaching notes provide ideas for sets, costumes & dances, as well as advice for preparing the performance and for linking the assembly to classroom work & SEAL themes.The audio CD provides music for entering and leaving the assembly, performance & backing tracks for the songs and music for optional dances. No music reading required.
