If you have some musical expertise and you can manage to see beyond the very American delivery in this book, we think that you may find this a useful resource.

The book and CD has 7 songs from various countries which are ‘accompanied’ by your class using classroom percussion. The required rhythms are taught by call and response using either the teaching track on the CD or by a photocopiable of the notation and then the whole thing put together for a ‘performance’. Full teaching notes included.

Some pieces are simple enough for KS1, others are more suitable for KS2.
