N610JH Nuvo jHorn – ABS resin horn
The jHorn occupies the same register as baritone horn, euphonium or trombone and as brass instrument fingerings are transferable, the skills learned on the jHorn can be used on any instrument in the brass family.
Supplied in Bb, the jHorn also comes with a set of C tubes which bring the instrument up to concert pitch alongside the rest of the Nuvo family – the jSax, jFlute and Clarineo.
The mouthpiece is supplied with a selection of silicone cups. This multi-cup set up replicates a range of brass mouthpiece profiles by altering the diameter, rim width and depth of the cups. You can also try using trumpet, cornet or tenor horn mouth pieces.
As with all Nuvo instruments, it is completely waterproof which makes it very easy to keep clean – a quick dip in the washing up bowl or even the bath and it’s good to go again. The jHorn weighs just 0.7kg and measures 36cm x 30cm.
