Boomwhackers are tuned plastic tubes that when struck with a soft beater, or when whacked across the hand or knee, or the right sort of floor - but not furniture - play a note.N.B. the length of the biggest bass tube is 48 inches. If you want the bass sound for primary-age children we suggest you buy the ordinary tubes with a set of octavator caps which lower the pitch by an octave into the bass range. Much easier to manage!
